Featured Authors:
Carl Shuker is a Wellington-based health publications manager and novelist. His works include The Method Actors, a historical thriller-love story set in Tokyo, and The Mistake, a medical thriller now adapted into a film starring Elizabeth Banks. His latest novel, The Royal Free, continues his exploration of complex human stories.
Helen Vivienne Fletcher is a playwright, poet, and children's author. Known for her YA novel Broken Silence, a finalist for Best First Novel at the Ngaio Marsh Awards, she also contributed to Dark Deeds Down Under, a groundbreaking crime and thriller anthology.
Jennifer Lane is a Wellington-based short story writer and novelist. Her debut novel All Our Secrets won a Ngaio Marsh Award for Best First Novel, and her latest work, Miracle, won the 2024 Ngaio Marsh Award for Best Kids/YA.
Jennifer Palgrave aka LGBTQIA+ co-writing couple Lois Cox and Hilary Lapsley are the authors of a mystery series featuring Lauren Fraser, a retiree turned reluctant sleuth. Their latest novel Where the River Goes delves into the clash between intensive dairying and regenerative farming, set against a gripping mystery backdrop.
